Clean up
The after-action timeline
A wall chart of your cleanup and learning activities across five timeframes: During, Immediately After, Days After, Weeks After, and Months+ After.
Run it any time after the previous section, in the same conversation. If you have logs, chat exports, or emails from the incident and its aftermath, paste or upload them alongside the prompt — the more real material it has, the less it has to ask you for. Redact anything sensitive (customer data, credentials, personal info) first.
Build us an After-Action Timeline: a chart mapping our cleanup and learning activities across five timeframes — During, Immediately After, Days After, Weeks After, and Months+ After.
Use everything in this conversation so far — the BC/DR plan, the post-mortem discussion guide, and the confirmed summary and action items from Part 5b — plus any logs, chat exports, or emails I've given you here, to reconstruct what actually happened and when.
For each of the five timeframes, fill in:
- What we did — response actions, communications, documentation.
- Who was involved.
- What's still open, if anything, carried forward from that timeframe.
Only use information that's actually grounded in something I gave you — this conversation, the uploaded material, or facts I've stated directly. Don't invent specific actions, dates, or names just to fill a cell.
If a timeframe doesn't have enough real detail to fill in — for example, I never described what happened in the days after, or the uploaded logs stop at the incident's resolution and don't cover the weeks that followed — don't guess. Stop and ask me directly what happened in that timeframe, naming exactly what's missing, before completing the chart.
Once you have enough to work with, format the result as a visual timeline chart: a table with the five timeframes as columns, and rows for What We Did / Who Was Involved / Still Open. Keep each cell short — this is a wall chart, not a report. What comes back
For each timeframe: what we did (response actions, communications, documentation), who was involved, and what's still open carried forward. Formatted as a table with the five timeframes as columns — short cells; a wall chart, not a report.
Once the chart is filled in, you can ask it to "turn this into a visual diagram" for a rendered timeline if your AI has that capability..
